I spent 11 years in hospital on dialysis.

I would have died without a kidney transplant. It was my brother who saved me. It was during my time in hospital, that my wife left and I was informed that my leg had to be amputated.

The only thing that kept me sane was exercising in a swimming pool. It was during those 11 long years that I created a product to help people overcome injuries by training in water. It became an obsession, as to be honest the only thing I could use while lying in a hospital bed was my mind.

To overcome your challenges you have to channel your thoughts into something positive so something good can come from adversity.

My desire was to take that product, and teach exercise in water helping others recover from injury. I have since coached Cristiano Ronaldo the British Lions and worked abroad fulfilling my dreams.

If I can do it, you can too.
