My childhood was one of sickness, sudden weight loss and tiredness.

It became normality, but no one could provide a diagnosis.

I watched on, as my friends played sport while I looked up at the ceiling from my bed. It was only during a family holiday, did someone recognise my symptoms and suggest Type 1 diabetes.

It was a shock! The fear and pain of having to manage injections, not knowing what I could or could not do! I soon realised your health is everything, without it you simply cannot function!

To overcome adversity I made a decision, that I would beat the challenge.

It’s through my pain that I found my desire. I have used my experiences to become a personal trainer specialising in training those with diabetes!
