Having worked hard for an education, including a master’s degree - I had no job to show for it.

No matter how many jobs I applied for, the answer was no! It reaches a point until you experience nothing but frustration and a lack of confidence.

It was only then that I decided to follow a passion for tennis. The only way to get a job was to create one. I started off restringing tennis rackets, delivered coaching sessions for £2, as I had no idea what to charge! I had no idea about business and it took some time to build.

Now at 28, I have been able to build a tennis coaching business, teach primary school children and creating summer camps. It happened by taking a chance, deciding to follow a dream instead of dwelling on wasted time. Overcoming challenges requires making clear decisions, possessing a strong desire

and having the determination to see

it through.
